Blossomleap
Blossomleap
Name -
Blossomleap
Rank -
Understander
Gender -
she-cat
Age -
12 seasons and 3 moons
Alliance -
EvergreenClan
Skills and Weakness' -
Blossomleap's biggest strength would have to be her good intentions; she does what she believes to be right and follows her heart. However, her strength is entwined with her weakness - she cannot stand to see another cat suffering, whether the cat is from another Clan or from her own, whether they follow a dark path or a light one.
Appearance -
At first glance, she almost seems pink; however, that is not the case - her pelt is just an unusual shade of white. Along her legs, she has lots of snow-white and silver stripes, making out complex patterns that are beyond description. Her flanks are covered with less stripes than her legs, but they still form the complex, curving patterns. Blossomleap is built almost like a CraterClan cat, with a slender, lithe body. Her movements are always purposeful and smooth, very rarely jerky - this frequently helps soothe stressed patients, because Blossomleap always looks like she knows just what she's doing, whether she does or doesn't. Her light blue eyes are watery pools of compassion and understanding; therapeutic to some, slightly unnerving to others. Blossomleap's tail, which once was long and feathery, is now only half; the reason behind this will be explained in her history.
Personality -
The saying "the eyes are the windows to the soul" is completely true for Blossomleap. As described in her appearance, Blossomleap's eyes are usually warm and gentle, overflowing with compassion, just like her general personality. Whenever she becomes agitated or concerned, it will show up in her eyes; even Little Ones find her emotions easy to read. Blossomleap does not usually feel agitated, though it would be a lie to say it has never happened before. She tends to feel worked-up only when a cat refuses to do what she asks them to, after her gentle persistence. Whenever she becomes angry, she seems like a different cat altogether; she is forceful, aggressive and unpredictable. This, as expected, can make cats astounded that she is the same cat as the warm, caring Understander they are used to.
In general, Blossomleap is highly disapproving of battle and borders; she feels that Clans could use their skills together instead of against each other. She never mentions this to her Clan, though, because she knows that it would cause a huge argument about nothing.
On top of that, Blossomleap is fiercely loyal to CrescentClan and her friends. If any cat says one word against either one (CrescentClan particularly) Blossomleap will jump to their defence without hesitation. Her debating skills are good, though a debate does increase the chances of her showing her, not usually used, sharp-tongue.
History -
Blossomleap's life as a Little One wasn't really much of an exciting time, so we'll jump right into the time when she was an Understander's Learner.
Blossompaw's mentor was called Blazemist. Blazemist was an admirable, noble cat - one that would have definitely been worthy of a role as Dominant One, if it hadn't have been for his healing skills and his close bond with CrescentClan. Blossompaw inherited her defensiveness for CrescentClan and her friends from him, as well as her compassion and friendliness. One day, Blazemist sent Blossompaw out on a herb-hunting expedition alone; he told Blossompaw that he felt she was ready, and he knew she would do a good job. Determined not to let her mentor down, Blossompaw put all her concentration into scenting out the right herbs, and trying to remember the places where she could find them.
Out of nowhere, an owl swooped down from the sky (even though it was in broad daylight), and grabbed Blossompaw by her tail. Blossompaw screamed for help, and her brother, Buzzardpaw, came out from the undergrowth and fought the owl off. Buzzardpaw, also, had been sent out on a mission alone, but he was assigned to do some hunting.
The owl had torn off half of Blossompaw's tail, but, other than that, she was fine. Buzzardpaw took her back to camp, and let Blazemist take care of her. None of the cats had taken the time to consider that the owl was an ill omen.
Three moons later, CraterClan tried to invade EvergreenClan's territory. A huge battle took place, but EvergreenClan won. However, there were many injuries, but only two deaths. Buzzardpaw had been killed defending the camp, and Blazemist had been killed protecting Blossompaw.
After that, Blossompaw was completely against battles. She became a full Understander too young, and was known as Blossomleap. Luckily, CrescentClan guided her through the rest of her training, until she knew everything else she needed to know.
RP Example -
It was dark. And cold, too, of course. It was always cold here, whether it was greenleaf or leafbare. Blossompaw made her way through the tunnel, struggling not to hyperventilate. You're going to be fine; the tunnel won't collapse, she tried to reassure herself it's not like you've never even been here before!
Blossompaw scowled slightly at herself in the darkness. She was being ridiculous, she knew that much. Blossompaw struggled to listen in the darkness - to see if she could hear the other Understander's panicking the way she was. She couldn't hear them; Blossompaw had never felt so alone.
It was cruel enough that Buzzardpaw had been snatched away from her, but for CraterClan to kill her mentor, as well... That was just going one step too far. How was she going to manage without Blazemist, her wise mentor, who had still been alive two sunrises ago, to guide her? There was still so much she had left to learn!
Blossompaw took a deep, shaky breath. I can't think like this! I must remain strong; for the sake of my Clan! She thought determinedly.
At that moment, they reached the center of the cave. She took her place by one of the four corners of the large rock, laying down in front of it. Blossompaw looked up at the hole in the cave ceiling that was above her, trying to see if there were any stars shining back down at her.
Two little dots in the sky seemed to light up, as if to reassure Blossompaw that they were watching. A flow of reassurance and understanding jolted through Blossompaw, and she blinked up at the stars - her light blue eyes filled with warmth. She pressed her lips together, to avoid meowing a greeting and breaking the truce.
At that moment, a stream of moonlight trickled down into the cave, and lit up the rock in front of Blossompaw.
